MJF Reveals Why He Isn’t Chasing The AEW World Title Right Now

AEW

MJF lost the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End 2023 before going on hiatus, only to return in May at Double or Nothing.

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, MJF explained not going after the AEW World Heavyweight Title right away.

MJF said, “The guy [Swerve Strickland] is absolutely locked in. He’s next level right now. And do I want to deal with him when he’s a 100% and I am still healing from a shoulder injury, do you think that’s bright Tommy? No.”

He continued, “I pick my spots. Everybody in this company is dumb, I’ll explain why. Everybody in this company works hard. Working hard is for suckers, Tommy. It’s stupid. I work smart. I pick my spots. That title will be around my waist because I am the best professional wrestler in the world.”
