In their careers, Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr have faced each other twice, with Danielson emerging victorious at AEW WrestleDream 2023 and ZSJ securing a win at The New Beginning In Osaka 2024.
Sabre Jr is looking for one more match against Danielson, something he spoke about at the Forbidden Door post-media scrum.
“We were talking about the North Pole. What’s the weather like this time of year? Our first match was in England, we had a rematch in Germany that is somewhat forgotten. Then we had the match at WrestleDream, and in Japan. I know that Bryan says he is winding it down, but he’s a pervert…in a wrestling sense. That’s not against his character. We at least have to have one more match in England. Bryan, I’ve said this countless times, when I wrestled Bryan the first time in England, in a pub in front of 50 people, they had no idea who I was. He gave me so much and it kick started my entire career. I can never repay the debt to him outside of trying to break all of his limbs. I’ve yet to tap out Bryan Danielson. We have to have at least one more match where he lets me try.”
