It Appears AEW’s Deal With Ric Flair’s Woooooo Energy Is Over

AEW

When AEW revealed in late 2023 that they had signed Ric Flair to a multi-year contract, the announcement also included Flair’s Woooooo Energy drink.

AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that Flair’s deal was similar to Randy Savage’s with WCW in the mid-1990s. The energy drink sponsorship covered a significant portion, if not all, of Flair’s salary in All Elite Wrestling, similar to how WCW did it with the Slim Jim sponsorship for Randy Savage.

In the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted the recent absence of drink graphics on AEW television. Unless something changes, it seems unlikely that fans will see future ads for the energy drink.

Meltzer mentioned, “No explanation was given, but it appears that the deal may be over unless something changes.” The impact of this on Flair’s status with the promotion remains unclear.
