Daniel Garcia has been absent from AEW television since earlier this month after an incident on Dynamite. MJF attacked him, turning heel, right after Garcia lost to Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship.
Ospreay has since claimed that Garcia has lost feeling in his arms due to the attack. Ibou of WrestlePurists reported that Garcia was written off TV in a way that protects AEW in case he doesn’t return and sign a new deal. WWE was interested in Garcia in 2021, but he chose to join AEW instead.
During a discussion on Wrestling Observer Radio, it was mentioned that people in AEW were confident he would continue with the company and sign a new deal.
