Ricky Starks Has Interest From WWE

Ricky Starks and other AEW wrestlers might have some choices when their contracts are up.

Starks hasn’t been seen on AEW TV for a few months, with his last match happening on the March 30 episode of AEW Collision. He faced an injury scare that caused Top Flight to win a match that was supposed to go in favor of Starks and Big Bill. Starks mentioned that he wasn’t actually hurt before and didn’t know why AEW hasn’t featured him lately.

In earlier interviews, AEW President Tony Khan expressed his desire to have Starks return. Recently, Fightful reported that the only storyline Starks rejected was the idea of breaking up with Big Bill and feuding with him. Starks felt that having Big Bill lose to him wouldn’t help Bill’s career, so he preferred a friendly separation instead.

According to PWInsider.com, sources from WWE have indicated that there is interest in several AEW talents whose contracts are nearing their end or who haven’t been on TV for a while, including Starks and Daniel Garcia.

It’s still uncertain when Starks’ AEW contract expires and if he and WWE have had any discussions. Many fans speculate that Starks might join WWE since he has friends there, like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes.
