WWE Reached Out To Talent After AEW Debut Match

“Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington, the nephew of the late wrestling icon Dynamite Kid, began his wrestling career in 2018.

Billington made his initial appearance for AEW in May, where he faced Dax Harwood in a singles match on Collision. A report from Fightful suggest that he may have signed a contract with the organization.

There are also indications that WWE NXT showed interest in him. However, neither AEW nor Billington has confirmed this information, and the specifics of his contract—whether it is a full-time agreement or a tiered, per-appearance arrangement—remain unclear.

In a discussion on Instagram Live, Harwood elaborated on how Billington’s AEW contract materialized, mentioning WWE’s interest in him and the company reaching out to see if they could sign him.
