New Deal Between AEW And Warner Bros Coming As Soon As Next Week

AEW WBD

It is widely believed that a new television agreement between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery is close to being finalized.

The current contract is set to expire at the end of the year. The plan reportedly includes a pay-per-view component on MAX in some capacity. Reports have indicated that the proposed agreement is expected to be at least twice the value of AEW’s existing contract, which is estimated at approximately $70 million annually.

According to Puck, there are rumors that the AEW-WBD agreement is nearing completion, with an announcement expected as early as next week.

With AEW set to host the Grand Slam event at New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium and many WBD executives likely attending, this could be the perfect time for the announcement. The report indicates that the new deal would last four years, featuring a three-year guarantee and an option for an additional year, allowing AEW to air shows twice a week on TBS, TNT, and TruTV.

The estimated value of the deal is around $170 million annually, and it seems AEW is also looking for a separate package focused on broadcast channels.
