While appearing on Hey (EW) with the RJ City, QT Marshall revealed that DDP handpicked him to continue the diamond cutter.
QT claimed that Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known as MJF, turned down the chance to use it.
“[DDP] called me one day because I didn’t have a finish – I did but someone else was using it, long story short – so I said yeah, I’ll do it but I never called it the QT Cutter. I actually enjoy it when it’s called the Diamond Cutter handed down by Diamond Dallas Page because people hate it. They hate that, of all the professional wrestlers in the world he chose me. So I want to keep putting that out to the world.
For those fans out there watching, DDP chose me, could’ve been MJF, could’ve been anyone else, he chose me. In fact MJF asked for it and he said no.”
