Steve Austin Underwent Total Knee Replacement

WWE

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin took to Instagram to reveal that he recently underwent a total knee replacement on his left knee. According to Austin, the surgery occurred several weeks ago, and he is now seven weeks post-operation.

Austin shared photos of his knee’s healing process in the post, offering fans a glimpse into his recovery journey. While the WWE legend didn’t specify the reason for the surgery, it is likely due to the cumulative wear and tear from his storied wrestling career, which included years of high-impact matches and physical punishment.

Austin’s Instagram Post

Here’s what Austin wrote in his caption:

“Just checking in with a quick update. It’s been 7 weeks since my total knee replacement on my left knee, and I’m on the mend. I’ve been putting in the work with rehab, and it’s going great so far. Thanks for all the support!”

The photos showed Austin’s knee wrapped in medical bandages, along with visible signs of improvement in his mobility since the operation.

A History of Physical Challenges

Austin has long dealt with injuries stemming from his wrestling days. His infamous neck injury in 1997, which he suffered during a match with Owen Hart, drastically shortened his in-ring career. Over the years, Austin also endured knee issues that required multiple surgeries. These challenges were part of why he transitioned into a non-wrestling role for much of his WWE career, including his iconic stint as the Raw General Manager in the early 2000s.

Austin’s Current Status

At age 59, Austin continues to stay active with his Broken Skull Ranch ventures, including fitness challenges and his popular “Stone Cold Podcast.” He made an incredible in-ring return at WrestleMania 38, facing Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match, which was widely praised as a nostalgic and entertaining moment for fans.

With this latest surgery and ongoing rehab, Austin appears focused on maintaining his health and mobility for years to come. While his in-ring days are likely behind him, his role as a beloved figure in professional wrestling remains as strong as ever.

Final Thoughts

Steve Austin’s resilience and dedication to staying in shape are evident as he tackles yet another challenge in his post-wrestling life. Fans around the world are wishing the Texas Rattlesnake a speedy recovery as he continues to heal and enjoy his post-wrestling endeavors. And that’s the bottom line…
