AEW is coming to Brisbane, Australia, with AEW Grand Slam: Australia on Saturday, February 15th. The event was originally slated to take place at Suncorp Stadium. AEW will host the event at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Grand Slam: Australia is scheduled to broadcast on TNT and Max on February 15th.
AEW initially announced that Grand Slam: Australia would air on February 15 at 8 PM Eastern on TNT and Max. However, a scheduling conflict arose as TNT is set to broadcast All-Star Saturday Night at the same time.
The official listing now confirms that Grand Slam: Australia will be a special two-hour episode of AEW Collision, airing at 10:30 PM Eastern on TNT following NBA All-Star Weekend coverage. It remains unclear whether Max will air the show live or simply simulcast it with TNT.
On Wednesday, TV Insider published an interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan.
“Having this be a TV event has always been the plan. That’s something that the network wanted. It’s something the network brought to us recently as an opportunity to follow NBA All-Star Saturday. We saw it as a huge opportunity. It was a great vote of confidence for our partners at Warner Brothers Discovery. It will be one of the biggest nights of the year on TNT. It’s a great opportunity given the lead-in.”
