Dustin Rhodes Explains Why He Didn’t Return To WWE

Dustin Rhodes’ December announcement of his AEW contract renewal disappointed some fans hoping for a WWE return. Rhodes recently addressed the “tribalism” between AEW and WWE fans, emphasizing the importance of ignoring negativity and focusing on positive support.

In response to a fan suggesting he should have returned to WWE, Rhodes explained that he accomplished everything he could with the Goldust character, which is now retired, and expressed his happiness in AEW. Since joining AEW in 2019, Rhodes has been a player/coach and continues to be an active competitor with no signs of retirement.
