Speaking on the My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett discussed a wide range of topics.
During it, Jarrett discussed how he ended up getting on board with Acclaim.
On March 4, 2024, it was announced that Acclaim, the former publisher of WWE, ECW, and Legends of Wrestling games, is being revived to focus on indie titles and classic game revivals.
“I am so damn excited about this opportunity. Alex [Josef] is the CEO; Mark Caplan, but when the opportunity came about, I didn’t know that you [Conrad Thompson] were that deep into gaming way back when. But I guess you could say I’m marrying two of my worlds. I’ve never been the biggest gamer, but the business of gaming, I have been fascinated with way, way back. Look, I’ve done my Mario and all those different kinds of games, but I was attached to a WWF Acclaim game, and then, obviously, the TNA Midway game, and then my work with WrestleQuest and Mega Cat [Studios] and Acclaim, the pieces of the puzzle kind of came together. They reached out, and I jumped at it. Man, I could not be more thrilled to see where this opportunity takes me. The news hit. It’s funny how different news hits inside the wrestling world and outside the wrestling world. Got quite a bit of buzz and quite a bit of traction.”
