Scott Steiner’s relationship with Hulk Hogan is marked by deep animosity. Steiner alleges that Hogan’s backstage influence negatively impacted his career, particularly during their time in WCW. Steiner claims that Hogan directly interfered with his matches, including dictating a loss immediately after Steiner’s 1998 heel turn.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Steiner described Hogan as a “motherf*cker” and a “piece of sh*t,” citing instances of Hogan’s alleged backstage manipulation. Steiner also alluded to Hogan’s history of controversial remarks, including racist comments, which Steiner believes reveal Hogan’s true character. He mentioned that his friend, Randy Savage, confirmed many of these stories.
Steiner further claimed that Hogan attempted to have him arrested. This stemmed from an incident at a San Jose airport where Steiner encountered Hogan’s wife. Steiner had previously publicly stated he would confront Hogan. At the airport, Steiner told Hogan’s wife that her husband was a “piece of sh*t” and that he intended to confront him. He made no threats of physical violence. Hogan subsequently filed a police report, alleging that Steiner had slapped his wife and threatened to kill him, leading to potential charges of terroristic threats and aggravated assault. Steiner believes that the airport’s surveillance footage exonerated him, as it contradicted Hogan’s claims.
