Tony Khan: I’d Have To Talk With Sting About Inducting Lex Luger In WWE Hall Of Fame
Lex Luger’s upcoming WWE Hall of Fame induction has sparked considerable interest, particularly regarding his desired inductor. Luger has publicly expressed his wish for Sting, a fellow Hall of Famer and longtime friend, to handle the honors. Their shared history, both in and out of the wrestling ring, adds a layer of significance to this request. The two forged a memorable partnership, especially during their time in WCW, making Sting a fitting choice for this prestigious role.
Tony Khan was asked about Sting’s potential involvement during a media call preceding AEW Dynasty. Alex Hunt of Inside The Ropes inquired about the possibility of Sting, currently under AEW contract, inducting Luger into the WWE Hall of Fame. Khan’s response, while not a definitive confirmation, acknowledged the unique circumstances and the deep connection between Luger and Sting.
He emphasized his respect for both wrestlers and the historical importance of their relationship. While Khan didn’t explicitly greenlight or deny Sting’s participation, he indicated a willingness to consider the request, highlighting AEW’s openness to collaborative moments that celebrate wrestling history. The situation presents a unique inter-promotional scenario, potentially showcasing a rare moment of unity between WWE and AEW, all in the spirit of honoring a legendary career.
Tony Khan Speaks
“I’m not sure. I’m very focused on AEW Dynasty. I talked to Sting recently before AEW Revolution, looking back on some great memories. We caught up on the phone right around the pay-per-view and that was the last time we had spoken. Haven’t heard from him about that. Certainly, he’s doing very well, and that relationship and friendship means so much to me, and we’re all very grateful for Sting. The last time I talked to Sting, that didn’t come up. Would have to talk to him about that,” said Tony.
