As seen on this week’s AEW Dynamite, Josh Alexander made his highly anticipated debut as the Wild Card entrant in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The former TNA World Champion stepped into the AEW ring for the first time to face Hangman Page in a quarter-final match of the prestigious tournament.
Shortly after Alexander’s appearance on Dynamite, AEW CEO Tony Khan officially confirmed that “The Walking Weapon” has signed with All Elite Wrestling. Khan took to social media to announce the signing, sharing the news with fans and making Alexander’s “All Elite” status official. This announcement solidified the speculation that had been circulating since Alexander’s departure from TNA earlier this year.
Alexander’s debut in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament marks a significant addition to the AEW roster. His established reputation as a top-tier in-ring performer, evidenced by his multiple TNA World Championship reigns and other accolades, brings considerable talent and experience to All Elite Wrestling. His match against Hangman Page on Dynamite was his first showing in an AEW ring, immediately placing him in a high-stakes tournament with significant implications for a future AEW World Championship opportunity for the winner at All In: Texas.
