A singles clash between AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Samoa Joe, their first since a 2017 WWE encounter, seems imminent. Joe choked out Moxley on Dynamite to secure the Trios titles for his team, prompting a furious response from Moxley on Collision.
Amidst “You tapped out!” chants, Moxley declared his respect for Joe’s past reputation as “the most undisputed baddest man,” but asserted that Joe initiated a conflict that must be resolved.
Vowing to fight Joe to the death for the title anytime, Moxley issued a direct challenge. Cagematch records indicate only one prior singles match between them, a December 2017 WWE Raw bout won by Joe, though they frequently opposed each other in tag team contests that same year.
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is not afraid of Samoa Joe and is willing to put the title on the line!
