Joshi wrestling star Mina Shirakawa is reportedly poised to make her full-time debut on AEW programming “imminently” and is expected to receive a significant push upon her arrival. This news comes from a recent report by Fightful Select, signaling an exciting addition to the AEW women’s division.
Shirakawa had informed Stardom at the end of 2024 of her intention to leave the promotion. She is no stranger to AEW audiences, having competed in eleven matches for the company in 2024 and appearing at the joint Wrestle Dynasty show in the Tokyo Dome in January 2025, where she unsuccessfully challenged Mercedes Moné for the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
After Shirakawa herself confirmed her future lay with AEW following her Stardom exit, her appearances had ceased for a period. However, the Fightful report indicates “Mina Shirakawa is now expected in AEW imminently,” potentially within the “next couple of weeks.” Crucially, the report notes that “Shirakawa is set for an immediate push upon joining the company.”
Her arrival is an interesting development, especially as Fightful also mentioned that her former “Club Venus” tag team partner in Stardom, Mariah May, could potentially be on her way out of AEW before the end of the year. Shirakawa’s full-time integration and planned push are highly anticipated by fans familiar with her work in Japan and her previous AEW outings.
