Former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter is intensely focused on her upcoming Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final against AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné at Double or Nothing 2025. Speaking on “The Undisputed” podcast, Hayter emphasized the immense personal stakes involved in facing Moné, with a shot at Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s World Title at All In Texas on the line.
Hayter acknowledged the magnitude of the opportunity, especially after a significant period away from the top title picture. “The stakes are even higher for me because I’d been gone for so long, and look what I can do–I can be the one to give Mercedes her first loss in AEW,” Hayter stated. “If I do that, I wrestle Toni Storm for the title at All In. Wrestling Mercedes is a very big opportunity.”
While respecting Moné’s abilities, Hayter is driven by a profound desire to prove herself. “She is fantastic in the ring–you can’t say otherwise. And I love to wrestle,” she admitted. “Every time I go in the ring, I’m there to prove myself. And that’s what I’m going to do against Mercedes.”
Hayter vowed to leave an indelible mark on her opponent. “When I’m done with Mercedes Moné, she’s going to remember me,” she declared. She then sharply contrasted her own motivations with what she perceives as Moné’s: “For Mercedes, it’s just another belt she’s chasing. For me, it’s everything.”
