Eddie Kingston Provides Update On Injury Recovery

AEW star Eddie Kingston has provided an update on his recovery from the leg injury he suffered in the spring of 2024, outlining his plans for returning to the ring. Kingston, who has not competed since NJPW Strong Resurgence 2024, shared his thoughts during a recent appearance on Cezar Bononi’s YouTube channel.

Kingston described his methodical approach to getting back into ring shape. “Everything is slow at first, it’s running the ropes, all that stuff. Three-quarter rolls. Then I’ll get in there,” he explained. “I would like to get Ortiz and Homicide down to grapple.”

He also commented on AEW’s production style and his desire to help get his friend Ortiz back on television. “Ortiz, if they’re going to film it, because AEW likes to film everything, I get it. I don’t, that’s not me and my style. At least get Ortiz back on TV [Laughs],” Kingston said. Despite any frustrations with aspects of the job, his focus remains on competing: “You’re not always going to agree with your job. Once I get to the ring, I’m happy, I’m good.”
