Bully Ray Reacts To Bizarre AEW Steak Dinner Segment

TNA

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray shared his thoughts on the developing storyline between AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and her challenger, Mercedes Moné.

Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Bully praised a recent segment where Storm confronted Moné at a steak dinner.

Praising The Character Work
“I popped huge because Toni came out, got right in Mone’s face, and instead of punching her, she ate her steak,” Bully said. “You gotta love a woman who eats steak with their bare hands. My God.”

He also complimented the on-screen chemistry between Storm and her current protege, Mina Shirakawa. “Mina and Toni are very entertaining together. Mina is very bubbly, over the top,” he stated.

Recreating The Magic
Bully Ray spoke highly of Storm’s previous long-term storyline with former champion Mariah May (now Blake Monroe in WWE). He noted how difficult it will be to follow up on such a successful program.

“We spoke about Mariah last night, and how great of a storyline and Hollywood ending that Toni had with Mariah May. I’m hoping Toni can find somebody else to recreate that magic with,” he said. “It’s hard when you have something like Toni versus Mariah, and it’s such a spectacle to then just, you know, ‘just have a wrestling match.’”

Toni Storm is set to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Moné at the All In: Texas event on Saturday, July 12.
