Speedball Mike Bailey Reveals His List Of Future Dream Opponents

“Speedball” Mike Bailey is thrilled with the opportunity for long-term storytelling in AEW and has a list of dream opponents he hopes to face in the company.

Speaking with PWInsider before his trios match at the AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster special, Bailey discussed the creative differences between AEW and the independent scene.

The Joy Of Long-Term Storytelling

“There is a lot more opportunity for longer-term storytelling because people pay that much more attention to AEW than anywhere I’ve ever worked before,” Bailey said. “The pressure is higher… but that just means I get to prepare better… and I 100% feel like I’ve been set up to win the whole time.”

He also reflected on his recent match against Kazuchika Okada at Double or Nothing, praising the AEW World Champion. “It’s no secret that Okada is one of the best wrestlers in the world… I’m glad we were both able to give it everything we’ve got.”

Future Dream Opponents
When asked about who he wants to face in the future, Bailey listed several of AEW’s top stars.

“I hate this question. It’s impossible for me to give you an exhaustive list,” he began. “But Hangman Page, Darby Allin, Brody King, MJF, and of course, Bryan Danielson. That would really be a dream match for me and a lot of people.”
