AEW star Anthony Bowens is working hard to secure a prominent spot at the company’s biggest show of the year, All In: Texas. In a recent interview with WFAA, Bowens stated his goal is to challenge for the TNT Championship at the event.
Bowens explained that he is seeking revenge on the current TNT Champion, Adam Cole, for a past attack, which provides a personal motivation for the potential championship match.
“It’s been no secret that I have been gunning for the TNT championship. I wanted an opportunity to beat the crap out of Adam Cole. I’ve got some revenge on my plate that I’m looking for cause he did some damage to me a couple years ago when I got thrown through a plate glass window,” Bowens said. “I think The Pride of Professional Wrestling should be a champion representing the company. So I’m gunning for that.”
While he has faced recent setbacks in the ring, Bowens remains confident that he will earn his opportunity for the title match at the major stadium show next month.
“We’ll see what ends up happening at All In. I’m trying my best to get there… I’m fairly certain I’ll figure it out soon.”
