Dustin Rhodes has fired back at MJF after the former AEW World Champion intentionally misspelled his family’s name in a social media post. Ahead of his match at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, MJF listed his past accomplishments, referring to Cody and Dustin Rhodes as “Cody Rhoades” and “Dustin Rhoades.”
The veteran Rhodes, who has long defended his family’s legacy, took issue with the deliberate misspelling and responded directly to MJF on social media.
“Spell my name right you f***ing dweeb,” Rhodes wrote.
The exchange is a classic example of MJF’s antagonistic character work, using direct disrespect to generate heat with both wrestlers and fans online. MJF is scheduled to face CMLL star Mistico at the AEW Grand Slam: Mexico event this Wednesday, June 18. The historic show from Arena México in Mexico City will air live on TBS and will be simulcast on Max.
