A new report from PWInsider has provided additional details on the legitimate shoulder injury suffered by Liv Morgan on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw. The report confirms the injury is 100% legitimate and not part of a storyline to write her off television for an outside project.
Morgan suffered what is believed to be a dislocated shoulder moments into her match with Kairi Sane. According to the report, WWE is waiting to learn the full severity of the dislocation, as a more severe injury could require more than 16 weeks to recover from. As of now, a specific timetable has not been determined.
The report also notes that there is no backstage heat on anyone for the injury, which is being viewed as a “freak incident.”
The injury occurred after Morgan delivered a promo earlier in the night addressing her ongoing feud with the returning Nikki Bella. This new injury now puts the future of that storyline, as well as her reign as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, in serious doubt.
