Former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., is reportedly looking to get out of her contract with All Elite Wrestling. Baker has not been seen on AEW television since November 2024, and while she is believed to be under contract for at least another year, a new report from Bodyslam.net claims she is “actively seeking to part ways with AEW.”
The report notes that AEW is not currently looking to grant her a release. Sources claim that Baker feels there is nothing left keeping her in the company, pointing to “burned bridges” and a sense that the environment has changed during her absence.
Baker, who was the first woman signed by AEW in 2019, has not publicly commented on the rumors, but a recent cryptic social media post has fueled further speculation about her future.
A cornerstone of the women’s division, Baker is a former AEW Women’s World Champion and the winner of the 2022 Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament. She also participated in one of the company’s most memorable encounters, a brutal Unsanctioned Lights Out match against Thunder Rosa in 2021.
