Confirming a week of heavy teasing from TNA President Carlos Silva, a vignette on the July 17 episode of TNA Impact has made it official: AJ Styles will be at this Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.
The video package featured clips of Styles’ legendary career in TNA before showing his dusty ring jacket in a bin. While his name and face were not explicitly shown, the message was clear. It is currently unknown if Styles will be wrestling at the event or simply making an appearance.
This marks the first time Styles, a foundational star for the company, has been involved with TNA since his departure in late 2013. The appearance is part of the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA.
