Drew McIntyre revealed on Sunday that he is currently stuck in the United Kingdom due to a passport issue. In a video, McIntyre stated that he was not allowed to board his flight back to the United States because he did not have his US passport with him, only his UK one.
Reports from both Fightful Select and PWInsider have confirmed that this is a legitimate travel problem and not part of a WWE storyline. McIntyre has been a resident of the US for many years. WWE sources are reportedly confident the matter will be resolved, but were not pleased with the situation.
The issue comes just days before McIntyre is scheduled to compete in a major tag team match at WWE SummerSlam this coming weekend, where he will team with Logan Paul to face Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.
