Two Title Matches Announced for Next Week’s TNA Impact

TNA

Next week’s episode of TNA Impact on Thursday, August 7, is already shaping up to be a championship-heavy show. TNA has officially announced that two major titles will be on the line, as Jacy Jayne will defend the Knockouts World Championship against Ash by Elegance, and Steve Maclin will defend the International Championship against Jake Something.

Jacy Jayne to Defend Knockouts World Championship Against Ash by Elegance

The main event of next week’s Impact will see Jacy Jayne put her Knockouts World Championship on the line against the former Dana Brooke, Ash by Elegance. The match was set up during this week’s episode. Jayne was in the middle of a title defense against Masha Slamovich when Ash by Elegance interfered, causing a disqualification. Ash earned the right to challenge for the title by winning a number one contender’s battle royal on the June 26 episode of Impact, and she has chosen next week to cash in her opportunity. Jayne will have to contend with a determined challenger who has been waiting for her shot for over a month.

International Title and More Announced for Next Week

The TNA International Championship will also be defended on next week’s show, as the reigning champion, Steve Maclin, will face the powerhouse challenger, Jake Something. This match promises to be a hard-hitting affair between two of TNA’s most physical competitors.

In addition to the two title matches, several other bouts have been announced for the August 7 episode. In the Knockouts tag team division, Ash by Elegance’s associates, M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance, will be in action as they take on the team of Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee. Also, in a high-profile singles match, the controversial Mustafa Ali is set to go one-on-one with the popular Joe Hendry.

A Stacked Night of TNA Action

With two championships on the line and several other intriguing matchups, next week’s TNA Impact is a can’t-miss show as the company continues on the road to its next TNA Plus special, Emergence, on August 15. The results of next week’s title matches could drastically alter the landscape of the company heading into that big event.

Announced Card for TNA Impact on Thursday, August 7:

  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Ash by Elegance
  • TNA International Championship: Steve Maclin (c) vs. Jake Something
  • M by Elegance & Heather by Elegance vs. Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside
  • Joe Hendry vs. Mustafa Ali
