A vignette aired on the August 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, teasing the impending return of Hook. The former FTW Champion has been out of the ring since April of this year.
In an interview in June, Hook confirmed the reason for his absence.
“I’m recovering from a concussion for those who don’t know, but I’ve been out for a while and should be back soon.”
Hook’s last match was on the April 9 episode of Dynamite, where he teamed with Samoa Joe against Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. He made a non-wrestling appearance at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May.
