AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has identified the one wrestler she would most like to see signed by All Elite Wrestling. In a recent interview with TV Insider that was conducted before the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Mone was asked if there were any “under the radar” talents that fans should be watching. She immediately singled out RevPro star Kanji for high praise, even comparing her to one of the world’s most renowned technical wrestlers.
“From Rev Pro, I’m obsessed and love Kanji. I think she is so talented and brings something to the ring I haven’t really seen women do. She definitely reminds me of a female Zack Sabre Jr. in that she is so technical. She has such a drive and passion for this. If I could choose someone to sign here, she would be my number one pick.”
Kanji has been a standout performer on the UK independent scene, having worked regularly for promotions such as Revolution Pro Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling, and Pro-Wrestling EVE. Moné, who is the current RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, has had the opportunity to see Kanji’s work up close during her time competing in the UK.
