Matt Hardy recently shared his thoughts on the remarkable longevity of the three tag teams that defined the legendary Tables, Ladders, and Chairs era of the early 2000s. With The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz (Team 3D), and Edge & Christian all still actively wrestling in 2025, their impact on the industry continues to be felt a quarter of a century after they first revolutionized tag team wrestling. In a recent interview on The Angle Podcast, Matt Hardy discussed the upcoming final match between The Hardys and Team 3D at TNA’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, as well as the recent reunion of Edge and Christian in AEW. The fact that all three teams are still major players in different promotions speaks to their incredible passion and influence.
He expressed his excitement and emotion about the upcoming bout with the Dudley Boyz, which is being billed as the final encounter in their storied 27-year rivalry.
“It’s cool, it’s a very cool moment. Once again, this match at Bound for Glory, us vs. The Dudleyz/Team 3D, it is going to be the final time you see The Hardys and The Dudleyz in the ring together, and we’re going to make it a celebration of our 27-year rivalry. I really do believe when this match ends at Bound for Glory, it’s going to be one of the most emotional TNA matches in all of TNA history. To see Adam and Jay back together, it is very cool because we’re so linked to those guys, I mean, we’re all brothers, we were the forefathers of the whole TLC movement. So it is cool, I’m very happy they’re teaming up again.”
