Powerhouse Hobbs Has His Sights Set On A Future Acting Career

AEW

AEW World Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs is dominating the tag team scene in All Elite Wrestling, but he has aspirations that extend beyond the squared circle. The powerful member of The Opps faction recently revealed that he has a strong interest in pursuing a career in acting in the future. In a recent interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Hobbs was asked about the possibility of making the transition to movies and television, a path that many successful professional wrestlers have taken. His response was definitive, making it clear that a move to the big screen is a major long-term goal for him. This ambition adds another layer to the career of one of AEW’s most imposing and charismatic homegrown stars.

Hobbs’s combination of size, athleticism, and personality has made him a standout performer in AEW, and those same qualities could translate well to the world of acting. When asked about his interest in Hollywood, his answer was short and to the point.

“Most definitely. Who doesn’t want to see me on the big screen besides beating up people weekly? That’s definitely in the plan.”

Currently, Hobbs is one-third of the reigning AEW World Trios Champions alongside his partners in The Opps, the legendary Katsuyori Shibata and Samoa Joe. The trio has been a dominant force in the trios division, recently defending their championships in a hard-fought match against the team of The Gates of Agony and Ricochet on the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. While his focus is currently on his championship reign, it is clear that Powerhouse Hobbs has big plans for his future both inside and outside of the wrestling ring.
