The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed the current planned lineups for the two massive WarGames matches at this year’s WWE Survivor Series Premium Live Event. The event, which will take place at Petco Park in San Diego on Saturday, November 29, will be headlined by the iconic double-ring steel cage matches, a tradition that has become a fan-favorite since being adopted by the main roster. The reported teams for both the men’s and women’s matches feature a collection of WWE’s biggest stars and are centered around the company’s most heated rivalries, promising a night of unforgettable carnage and action.
According to the report, the current planned matches are as follows:
- Men’s WarGames Match: CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and either Jimmy Uso OR LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory
- Women’s WarGames Match: AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & IYO SKY vs. Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax & Lash Legend
The report notes that Austin Theory, who has been out with an injury, is expected to be back in time for the event. It also states that while the lineups could change, there have been fewer last-minute changes to major shows under the current creative regime. Survivor Series is one of WWE’s original “big four” pay-per-views, and the WarGames stipulation has added a new layer of excitement to the historic event in recent years.
