Mercedes Moné’s Independent Booking Fee Set At $25,000

AEW

A new report has revealed the staggering appearance fee commanded by AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné for independent wrestling bookings, a price tag that places her among the highest-paid performers in the industry. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an independent promoter who recently inquired about booking “The CEO” was quoted a fee of $25,000 per appearance. The promoter reportedly turned down the offer due to the high cost.

This reported fee is approximately five times higher than the average booking fee for other top-tier independent stars, which Meltzer notes is generally around $5,000. The report also speculates that even major international promotions that have used other top AEW stars, such as CMLL and RevPro, would rarely pay a fee close to that amount for a single appearance. Meltzer did note, however, that the $25,000 price isn’t necessarily fixed and could vary depending on the promotion’s location, reputation, or the size of the event.

The news comes as AEW President Tony Khan recently praised Moné’s passion for the sport, noting she has been willing to perform for smaller audiences in “not the highest paying places.” Moné’s high booking fee reflects her status as one of the biggest and most marketable stars in the world. She is currently set to challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship at the Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view on November 22.
