AEW Tag Title Contender Match Added To Dynamite

AEW

A second title eliminator match has been added to this Wednesday’s Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite in Edinburg, Texas. Announced during Saturday’s Collision broadcast, the match will feature The Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. Jurassic Express vs. JetSpeed in a four-way tag team contest. The winners will earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido (Brody King & Bandido), at the Full Gear pay-per-view next month.

This match follows Saturday’s Collision main event where JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) and Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) defeated FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) to win $400,000 in storyline. Among the four teams competing on Wednesday, only JetSpeed has never held the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Also scheduled for Wednesday’s Dynamite, the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament will commence. Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata will face the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) in a quarterfinal match. Hayter and Aminata earned the right to select their first-round opponents after winning a four-way tag team match on the previous week’s Dynamite.

Additionally, Don Callis is set to hold a “family summit” aimed at addressing the internal conflict between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita within his faction. These additions join the previously announced four-way match between Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, and Hook to determine the number one contender for the AEW World Championship, with that title match also slated for Full Gear.

Here is the current card for AEW Fright Night Dynamite this Wednesday:

  • Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Ricochet vs. Hook in a four-way no. 1 contender’s match
  • Don Callis Family summit
  • AEW Women’s Tag Team title tournament quarterfinal: Jamie Hayter & Queen Aminata vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue)
  • Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. Jurassic Express vs. JetSpeed in a four way no. 1 contender’s match
