Despite being on opposite sides of a brutal, ongoing rivalry, AEW veteran MVP had high praise for his foe, Ricochet. The leader of The Hurt Syndicate and the leader of The Demand have been at war for months, but MVP took a moment on his “Marking Out” podcast to give Ricochet his flowers as an in-ring performer.
MVP, one of the most respected minds in the business, complimented Ricochet’s incredible athletic ability and his attention to the finer points of wrestling.
“Ricochet is amazing, man. His body control, what he’s capable of doing with his body, the little details when he sells — like that extra pump — he’s phenomenal.”
He continued, explaining what makes Ricochet a top-tier opponent to work with.
“When wrestling works the way it’s supposed to, we make each other look better than we are. Ricochet will make you look way better than you actually are, and I think he’s doing the best work of his career right now.”
The two stars recently clashed at AEW WrestleDream in a Tornado Trios match, which saw The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, & Shelton Benjamin) defeat The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, & Toa Liona).
