A massive championship unification match has been set for next week’s three-hour AEW Dynamite and Collision special in Boston, Massachusetts. “The CEO” Mercedes Moné is set to battle the returning Red Velvet to crown an undisputed ROH Women’s World Television Champion.
Red Velvet was the reigning champion when she suffered a neck injury in June 2025. In her absence, an interim title was created, which Mina Shirakawa won. Moné then defeated Shirakawa at WrestleDream 2025 in a Winner Takes All match to capture the interim belt.
On this week’s Collision, it was announced that Red Velvet has been medically cleared to return. She reminded Moné that she never lost her title and issued a warning, setting the stage for the unification bout.
