AEW star MVP recently offered high praise for his rival Ricochet, but explained why he believes WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is an even “easier night’s work”.
Speaking on his Marking Out podcast, MVP stated, “It’s my opinion that Ricochet is doing the best work of his career right now”. He recalled telling Ricochet years ago, “when you learn how to work, you’re gonna be good,” a comment he says the two “laugh about” now. MVP praised Ricochet as “brilliant,” noting his body control and selling “makes all of my s— look infinitely better”.
However, when asked by Adventure Gamers to compare working with Ricochet to Rey Mysterio, MVP gave the edge to the legend. “Rey Mysterio,” MVP answered. “Now the thing is with Rey, if you touch him with one finger like that, the crowd boos… He’s so beloved and he’s the greatest Luchador of all time… he just makes everything easy… you just punch him, kick him, slam him, and you get all the heat in the building”.
