Netflix, Paramount, And Comcast Submit Bids To Acquire Warner Bros.

The future of AEW’s broadcast home could be changing hands. According to a report from Deadline, formal offers have been submitted for the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), with Netflix, Paramount, and Comcast all placing non-binding bids before the November 20 deadline.

The report states that Paramount is currently viewed as the frontrunner because its bid is for the entire company, whereas Netflix and Comcast are specifically targeting WBD’s studio and streaming assets. WBD reportedly believes a sale could be completed by late December 2025, though regulatory approval would take at least a year.

This news has massive implications for the wrestling world. WBD is the home of AEW, while Netflix currently holds the rights to WWE content internationally and Raw in the US.
