AEW star Thunder Rosa (Melissa Cervantes) has announced that she and her husband of 14 years, Brian Cervantes, have separated. In an official statement posted to Instagram on Thursday, Rosa confirmed the decision to go their separate ways.
“After 14 years together, Brian Cervantes and I have decided to go our separate ways in a friendly and respectful manner. Relationships sometimes change shape, but the care and respect remain.”
Rosa also expressed gratitude for the support she received early in her career and for the privilege of raising Cervantes’s son. The couple married in 2006 and co-founded Mission Pro Wrestling. Rosa has been out of action since AEW All In but stated last month she expects to return to the ring “fairly soon.”
