Tony Khan Reveals His “Biggest Regret” Involving Jay Briscoe

It has been nearly three years since the tragic passing of Jay Briscoe, and AEW President Tony Khan took a moment to honor his memory on Wednesday night.

Following Dynamite: Winter is Coming, Khan posted an emotional tribute on social media, reflecting on the last time he saw his friend.

“3 years ago tonight was the last time that I saw my friend, the late great Jamin Pugh, aka Jay Briscoe… He was an incredible wrestler in the ring + an incredible man out of the ring, and he’s missed every day by his countless friends and his amazing family! RIP Jamin.”

Earlier this year, Khan revealed that his biggest regret as AEW President was failing to get Jay on Dynamite before his death.

“I fought really hard to get Jay Briscoe on the show… But I really wish I’d been able to have Jay Briscoe on Dynamite just one time. And he came to the show many times. That’s my biggest regret by far.”
