Fresh off his AEW debut in Atlanta, Steven Borden Jr. is heading back to the independent scene to close out the year.
The son of wrestling icon Sting has been announced for Defy Wrestling’s Ender event, taking place on Sunday, December 28, in Los Angeles. Borden is scheduled to face Kiran Grey in a rematch of their bout from earlier this week.
Borden and Grey are no strangers to one another. Both are trainees of Darby Allin and wrestled a dark match prior to this Wednesday’s Dynamite, which Borden won. They also faced off at a Defy event last month, where Borden cut a passionate promo addressing his status as a “nepo baby.”
“As the son of a legend, there are tons of people out there waiting for me to fail,” Borden said at the time, insisting he intends to earn everything he gets in the business.
Borden, a former college football player for the University of Kentucky, only began training in 2024 after participating in his father’s retirement match at AEW Revolution.
