Kyle Fletcher Reflects On Breakout 2025 And Shaving His Head

2025 has been a banner year for Kyle Fletcher, and he believes a drastic change in his appearance played a key role.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Fletcher reflected on the moment he shaved his head on live television, a decision he made to signify his separation from Will Ospreay’s shadow.

“It felt like a definitive change, a definitive moment to me, I was literally shedding the skin of being in Ospreay’s shadow,” Fletcher said.

The Australian star admitted he was nervous about the change, as he had been known for his long hair throughout his career. However, he felt the visual shift was necessary to establish himself as a singles competitor.

“I was getting sick of my hair, my blonde hair, and I was wanting to change it anyway… The way we landed on was me shaving it myself,” he explained.

Fletcher credited his feud with Ospreay, specifically their match at Full Gear 2024, as the catalyst for his rise as a singles star.
