AEW Collision Holiday Bash Preview: Mercedes Mone Defends Title

AEW

AEW presents a special Saturday afternoon edition of Collision this weekend, featuring championship action and crucial Continental Classic matchups.

Taped in Manchester alongside Dynamite, the Holiday Bash special will air at 2:30 PM ET on TNT to avoid conflicting with the NCAA college football playoffs. The card is headlined by TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, who issued an open challenge for her RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship. Mone is looking for her fifth successful defense of the title she captured from Mina Shirakawa in January.

The final week of the Continental Classic Gold League also takes center stage. 2024 tournament winner Kazuchika Okada enters the night tied for the league lead with six points. He faces Kevin Knight, who sits at three points and is looking to play spoiler. In the other league bout, “The Scapegoat” Jack Perry seeks his first points of the tournament against “Speedball” Mike Bailey, who is also tied for the lead with six points.

Rounding out the card, Eddie Kingston will compete against Nathan Cruz in singles action.
