RJ City’s Role In AEW Shifts To Creative And Development

Despite the conclusion of his popular digital series Hey! (EW), RJ City is not going anywhere.

Fightful Select reports that the decision to end the show earlier this month was purely creative and had been planned for “quite some time.” City also chose to end his coffee-related project simultaneously to make a “clean sweep” of his current content slate.

City remains firmly under contract with AEW and continues to contribute behind the scenes. Sean Ross Sapp notes that City is involved in the creative process and is expected to develop new content for the company. His role has simply shifted from recurring digital host to a more developmental focus.
