MVP Clarifies Retirement Status And Future In AEW

MVP is enjoying his role as the mouthpiece for The Hurt Syndicate, but he hasn’t hung up his boots just yet.

In a recent interview with CHGO Sports, the AEW star clarified his in-ring status. While he prefers managing Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, he is willing to step in when necessary.

“I haven’t officially retired yet. And as long as the Hurt Syndicate is active, I’m not going to retire so that I can lace up the boots when we need a third,” MVP explained.

He also teased that the group has discussed pursuing the AEW World Trios Championships, though his stablemates are pushing him to wrestle more than he might like.

“They’re trying to convince me to to go full-time. I don’t know about that, man… But it’s a possibility.”
