Kyle Fletcher gave fans a scare at AEW Worlds End, but he seems to have avoided serious injury.
During his Continental Classic semi-final match against Jon Moxley, Fletcher was dropped on his head following a dragon suplex from the top turnbuckle. Despite the terrifying impact, Bryan Alvarez reports that Fletcher “appears to be fine.”
Fletcher continued the match but ultimately passed out in a rear naked choke. Following the loss, his frustrations were focused on the outcome rather than his health.
“I keep saying that I’m going to go down as the greatest wrestler of all time but if I can’t get the job done when it matters, who cares?” Fletcher said. He also questioned the whereabouts of Don Callis’ screwdriver, which his stablemate Kazuchika Okada used to win his own match later in the night.
