Tony Khan Confident In AEW’s Media Rights Future

AEW

Tony Khan believes AEW is perfectly positioned for the evolving media landscape.

Speaking to The Takedown, Khan expressed supreme confidence in the company’s relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery. He highlighted the success of AEW on HBO Max and the surprising resilience of cable television.

“Cable has actually grown this past quarter, which we have not seen in over eight years,” Khan noted. “Is there enough real estate for all of these companies to exist harmoniously on television… I think so. Absolutely.”

Khan cited his connections as an NFL owner and his meetings with “some of the richest and most powerful people in the world” as key assets in securing AEW’s long-term future. With AEW continuing to deliver 52 weeks of first-run content, Khan sees the promotion as a flagship property for TBS and TNT for years to come.

AEW Dynamite airs tomorrow night from Tulsa, Oklahoma, continuing the company’s weekly run on TBS.
