A blockbuster cross-promotional match could be brewing between TNA World Champion Mike Santana and WWE Superstar AJ Styles.
Styles made a special appearance on the January 15 premiere of TNA Impact on AMC, entering to his classic theme music and praising the company’s new era. Backstage, “The Phenomenal One” was seen admiring the TNA World Championship during a segment with then-champion Frankie Kazarian. However, Kazarian would go on to lose the title to Mike Santana later that night.
Santana, now a two-time champion, wasted no time in addressing the WWE legend’s presence. responding to a social media post of Styles looking at the belt, Santana wrote:
“Good. Now come and get it. @AJStylesOrg”
This interaction marks another chapter in the growing relationship between WWE and TNA. Styles previously appeared at Slammiversary to congratulate Leon Slater and later teamed with Je’Von Evans to face Slater and Dragon Lee at Saturday Night’s Main Event. With Santana now holding the gold, fans are clamoring to see if Styles will accept the invitation to step back into a TNA ring for a title match.
