Mustafa Ali picked up a win at TNA Genesis, but he paid a painful price for it.
In the second match of the night, Ali teamed with Tasha Steelz, John Skyler, Jason Hotch, and Special Agent 0 to defeat Elijah in a match that lasted just over nine minutes. Ali secured the victory by landing a hard guitar shot to Elijah’s back. However, shortly after the bell rang, Ali took to social media to reveal that he did not leave the match unscathed.
The former WWE star posted an extremely graphic image of his foot, showing a toenail that had been almost completely uprooted, surrounded by dried blood. The injury highlights the often-overlooked physical toll of professional wrestling.
It is currently unknown if Ali will miss any ring time due to the injury or if he will be able to work through the pain.
